I’m not sure what I’m posting today is very grace-laced. I can, however, offer it as insight into my eccentric life. Or my eccentric husband. How do I describe him really. He’s a lover of the Scriptures, flute music, tai chi, mountain biking, dolmas, Latin, Christian rap, flying, sushi, musicals, guns, jazz, archery, green tea, Shakespeare, Jeeping…and Man Vs. Wild. I think Bear Grylls taps into my husband’s perennial desire to overcome. His motto: “I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.” (1 Cor. 9:27) I’m not sure the Apostle Paul had eating maggots and snakes in mind when he said these words.
