It’s in the shop! I’m excited to announce that GraceLaced Shoppe is {finally!} open for business! For all you locals who’d like to see the handmade goodies up close and personal, I am currently featured as the “Artist of the Month” for December at Hip Stitch. Thank you to those of you who’ve encouraged me toward this little endeavor.

I have always dreamed of sharing my artistic giftings for both inspiration and financial contribution. There is a season for everything, and in every season a different focus.  I read through Proverbs 31 today, asking the Lord to grant me the balance, wisdom, and diligence seen there, in this endeavor and all others. My season continues to be motherhood, but am blessed to see ways in which I can learn to model the industriousness and priorities of the Proverbs 31 woman.

She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night…She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”
