I admitted to having a bit of a newfound obsession with air plants a few weeks ago, after being gifted a beautiful hanging glass bubble from a friend. How could I resist a plant so lovely and simple, yet requiring no dirt or daily watering?! All the loveliness of that terrarium I made with much less effort.
I decided to order a mystery air plant grab bag of 5 air plants to begin my collection, confident I would find the perfect spot for the other 4 plants I would have left over after adorning my hanging bubble.
And a perfect spot I found indeed! I decided to make an artsy floating display with a dried cholla cactus I picked up on a hike in the foothills here. I know it’s not for everyone, but it was just the right (free!) display for my little plants!
Are you as intrigued as I am?

. I really like the hanging display you made….very pretty!
The Beach terrarium reminds me of the ocean….it’s where I feel most at home, most at peace.
I have been following your blog for a bit now, and you are truly an inspiration. My favorite Terrarium is “Birds of a Feather.” I’m so incredibly intrigued by these air plants. We live in an apartment, and sadly we have no outdoor space to call our own. This plant would be perfect to decorate our lives with.
I haven’t seen these before! they are so amazing! so clean and simple! Sky Blue Paleacea is my favorite. love it!
everything is beautiful… but my favorite would have to be the Tillandsia and Billy Buttons Part 2!
I swoon, too
I love the Yellow Filifolia Terrarium…
[just found your blog via Under the Sycamore–so glad I did!)
This is an awesome giveaway! I love the uniqueness of these air plants and your special utilization of such things, Ruth! Your hanging art is beautiful.
My favorite is the Yellow Filifolia Terranium. It’s beautiful and would go wonderfully in my in progress makeover of my dining room.
Woo Hoo!! Love it! I first saw these when I was a little girl & was amazed by how God created such a thing!!
I can’t decide which would be a favorite!! Either Green Yarrow Air Plant Terrarium or Silver Sea Urchin Air Plant Terrarium!
they are all beautiful but i love beach!
Love their store. What a sweet giveaway!
I love the Tillandsia and Billy Buttons, Part 2. These are so neat!!
There are 3 that REALLY like, but if I had to pick one, I would say that “Tillandsia and Echinops” is probably my favorite, but “Tillandsia and Billy Buttons” is right up there with it. Nope, switch that, the second is my favorite.
The yellow would be just the right color pop in my bathroom.
I love these plants and the whole terrarium idea is wonderful to me. The Green Yarrow Air Plant Terrarium is my favorite.
I like the pink sand one or the Sky Blue Paleacea — but they are all beautiful!
i like the orange butterfly garden. i really enjoy you blog.
Oooooo…I like the cholla “chandelier!” Very pretty. My favorite terrarium from the sea and asters shop is the spiral airplant.
I LOVE all of these! What a great idea for those of us who have trouble keeping anything alive and pretty! My favorite one by far is the Bulbosa and Echinops Terrarium. It reminds me of something growing on a coral reef. And, since the beach is one of my favorite places in all the world – relaxing at it’s best in God’s amazing creation – it would be lovely hanging in my kitchen/dining area.
Oh, your hanging display is lovely and a perfect way to capture the look of your local terrain!
I love all of the terrariums, but I do believe my favorite is Green Layers Tillandsia because, well, my favorite color is green!
