Iced coffee makes it to my list of top 10 favorite things. Specifically: vietnamese iced coffee, iced caramel macchiato, iced americano, and iced breve. I used to pour a cup of The Preacher’s morning brew over ice, or have him make up an espresso drink if there was extra time. EXTRA TIME. It’s funny to even read those words in print.

So as to have strong iced coffee at the ready, I now make it ahead, and keep a pitcher in the fridge. Especially, for those mornings. :) I thought I’d post how I do it, but really, it’s pretty much all been said already by these lovely ladies:

My SIL’s Cold Brew in a French Press

Pioneer Woman’s Iced Coffee

Annalea Hart’s Iced Coffee

Smitten Kitchen’s Cold Brewed Iced Coffee

Mocha Coconut Iced Coffee by How Sweet It Is

I pretty much follow Pioneer Woman’s recipe, cut in half, and sieved through a paper towel in a strainer. Works like a charm.

Are you an addict too? What’s your favorite way to make iced coffee? Do you deliver? :) Have a great weekend chillin’…

Looooove iced coffee, especially in the summer. But I have to have coffee ice cubes in stock so it doesn’t get watered down. :)

Yum! I think drinking it out of a jar like that makes it taste better, too. :) Off to cold-press some NM Pinon coffee now! Thanks!

Oh my, I was just at Trader Joes this morning…wish I had read this first! That coffee bean grinder looks incredible!

This summer I found a recipe for almond ice milk that I made. It was mild and the kids didnt like it too much. But I had some via that someone gave me and I mixed the almond ice milk with the via in the blender with a little milk and whoa! So GOOD! Such a treat……

Ruth. Oh man. The mocha coconut link. I hadn’t even thought of putting coconut milk in my iced coffee! I have been making PW’s iced coffee this summer (decaf) and drinking it in the afternoon. I cannot wait to get some coconut milk and give it a go! Now to just get to the store…. :)
    Thanks for the wonderful idea!

Thanks for this post! Though I am an ‘old-fashioned’ girl and like my coffee hot, my husband does not like hot drinks. He had just asked me about trying to making iced coffee and your post arrived the very next day. I had checked out your links and had the one to Annalea’s up on my screen when a friend dropped by. She said, “Oh you know Annalea? She is in my CC group.” What a small world!

Laura, what a small world! I know Annalea through the blogging, but initially through a young couple that lived here for a year who was friends with her!
