Welcome to Grace Laced Mondays! Grace is found in the everyday when you are intentional about taking note of it.

It is found in the sink full of dishes awaiting you after a family meal, it shines in the faces of your imperfect children, it soothes from the pages of God’s Word, and it is tucked into the enjoyment of a fresh batch of cookies. Grace is in a beautiful moment and a heartbreaking one alike. Grace is blessing beyond what you and I deserve.

*********************************

Anyone can find grace in comfortable circumstances. But grace is the most tangible, valued, and welcomed when we are most aware of our need in the midst of difficulties. Jennie from Big Wide Porch shared about the challenges of doing the hard things in life, and finding grace in the midst of them in last week’s post:

“I’m feeling desperate, doubting myself and my resolve to do this. And yet, I know that healing takes time and is usually painful in some way. Moving through the difficulty and into a place of receiving grace is always worthwhile.
I can certainly say that about the marathon, childbirth, and parenting.”

Amen, Jennie…the hardest things in life are most often the most worthwhile. Thanks for sharing and linking up!

you are so sweet! =) i decided to load up something new after all. it’s been a very key(and mind)-losing kinda day. LOL
But the Lord is merciful, and he is helping me out of the awful pit of narcissistic unitarianism. =)

I truly believe the Lord uses everyday, mundane trials and annoyances in ourselves and circumstances, to humble our prideful hearts and to sanctify us in our wandering self-sufficiency.

    Ruth,

I just want to let you know how very much I am enjoying grace laced mondays. I can do all the allergy-friendly recipe link ups in the world and find some good recipes from them. But there is nothing more precious than what I am gleaning from this series to feed my soul.

I love reading each and every post and the comments too. (I just hope it doesn’t get too big :) )

The Lord is truly blessing this work!

Thank you for offering this. It is gracious of you. I’m sorry that I can’t seem to get the button to work. I’ve tried what you suggested but it just says that I have an error. I am old and fairly new to blogging. I’ll have to get my husband or one of my twenty somethings or teenagers to help me out!!

Brenda, don’t worry about it at all. What’s important is the content, and the goal of growing in grace and grace-recognition. The blogging technicalities will resolve in time… :)
