Danielle, I wish we could get together and chat classical education and photography. :) I agree with the desire for structure, but almost needing a break to recover from the summer! I'm trusting the Lord will provide what we each need.

I'm feeling very weary as summer is winding down. I'm looking forward to the structure fall and school will bring (I start homeschooling "for real" this fall) and starting with our Classical Conversations group. At the same time, I'm feeling lack in energy just thinking about it. It's been a busy summer with lots of photography work for me. I'm thankful though for a vacation at the beach coming up with family time to recharge. Also, my husband is starting a new job in two weeks. Hopefully after the vacation and job change life will get a bit more "predictable." Well, maybe. :)

Susan, I so have been there, of course. :) I think one of the great areas to grow in motherhood is to learn how to pursue and receive joy while in the midst of the mundane. Just remember: the noble tasks of the Christian life is not "out there" in a lost world, but right before you in the little ways the Lord enables you to be faithful. Love you too.

Ruth,
I keep mulling over the post about loving what needs to be done. So often I wake up and my mind begins reeling with my to-do list. And the thing is, I actually do like the things I have (get!) to do each day, but sometimes there is just so much of it in the day to day and all the while taking care of my babies and keeping first things first (and and and...) that I just get overwhelmed. I'm praying I can begin to take more pleasure in it all. Thank you for the blog post - it has really helped me in the process of thinking it through!

Love to you!
