A friend of mine recommended your blog to me, as I have been STRUGGLING emotionally, physically...in pretty much every way with being a stay-at-home mom and homeschooler...frequent depression has been the mark of the previous school year. I must say that after reading these two posts (pt. 1 and 2), I see myself in the pushy parent you've described who wants instantly well-behaved kids...I can admit that now! (OUCH!) Just wanted to say that I am so grateful for your writing and Word-based advice truly laced with graced. This was EXACTLY what I needed to hear tonite...at this time in my life. I feel like God is really going to use these summer months to prepare my heart for next school year. I have often pondered giving up throughout the past two homeschool years, but God has put me in a position where I can't, as well as every time I consider that option, softens my heart so that I don't even want to follow through. Talk about sanctification! I started out with 6 kids at home, w/ 4 in homeschool, but now I'm down to 2 in homeschool w/ a toddler and 6 on the weekend...DON'T ASK! LOL! But again, I thank you for your honesty and God-honoring testimony, my dear sister in Christ.
