The earth is the LORD'S, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it. -Psalm 24:1
ContactMy littlest mancub turns 9 months today. It has passed more quickly than any other. If only I had nothing to do each day but to oogle over his deliciousness. Today he is crawling…straight to the backdoor every chance he gets, climbing…all the way upstairs by himself, munching…chicken nuggets and bean and cheese burritos, giggling…hysterically at his brothers’ antics, fascinated…with the toilet and the dishwasher, growling…to show hearty approval and excitement, waiting…eagerly for bathtime, loving…his family. Happy 9 months, Precious. You are more than we ever hoped for, more than we deserve.
It’s always a privilege to shoot photos of a newborn babe. A week in this big world. A week in mother’s arms. Sigh…how I adore babies. Here are some from a recent session.
What? Did I hear you say that you just haven’t had enough of baby pictures this week? Well, I’m happy to oblige and end this week out with some more scrumptious baby love. Number 5 continues to love his mealtimes. And, while I am still serving up little heart cubes of pureed goodness, he and I both love a simply ripened avocado. He loves the rich, creamy texture. I love that it is no cook, no mess, and portable. So good for baby, so good for simplicity. He is so serious about his food!
I have so much respect for photographers who do newborn sessions. It is not as easy as it looks…that’s why I never did one for my own Cinco! I had the privilege of shooting a friend’s newborn baby at 10 days old this week. Here’s a little preview of the shoot. Hopefully, these images will be a sweet memory of the first days of baby Luke’s life. I’m not sure I’d ever make it as a baby photographer, but it sure was fun!
Every mama is proud of her cutie-pies. I’m no different. Enjoy!
“In adoption we find ourselves–in Jesus. We see something that we cannot perceive with our eyes.” -Russell Moore, Adopted for Life I had the opportunity to capture a few shots of a dear friend’s freshly adopted baby girl. I never tire of being part of the community of family and friends that welcomes each new little one into our midst, committing ourselves to loving and showing the Gospel to these children we’ve been entrusted with. It’s the second time I’ve attempted to photograph an infant, and I must say…it is harder than it looks!! Kudos to baby photographers who can capture stunning images of newborns. Here are two pics that were sweet enough to frame. Welcome, sweet girl…Cinco’s excited to be your pal!
When gathered in the foothills with good friends and a late afternoon Fall glow, who wouldn’t practice taking pictures of sweet little ones?
